2nd Spring School in Research Methodology

8 – 10 May 2025

Foggia, Italy

School overview

The school offers PhD students and young academics in different research fields the opportunity to interactively build their learning and training paths in research, with a specific focus on pre-methodological and methodological issues.

The school is organized around the following main phases:

Bases

How to write an academic article and how to publish in international scientific journals.

Design

How to effectively address the research problem, what research design is and what it is not, how to make sure everything is properly structured before focusing and addressing the study writing.

Approaches and Methods

How to choose between methods of qualitative and quantitative research and between different research-action approaches, how to face the challenge of working with integrated/combined approaches beyond the stereotyped research ‘divide’ which characterizes most scientific studies. Based on the participants’ background, trending topics in different fields of research will be addressed through talks by leading scholars through a methodological perspective.

Publish your study

“Publish your study” is an opportunity to meet skilled researchers in an interesting, engaging and approachable environment in order to be supported and accompanied in the process of submitting, revising and publishing a study in international indexed journals.

School happy hour

The “school happy hour” is thought of as a free peer-to-peer conversation among young scholars, held by the school participant, which runs during the breaks between the morning and afternoon sessions, while drinking coffee and snacks.
